How to Turn on Your Light in the Face
of Overwhelming Darkness
- Allow your emotions to arise, whether fear, sorrow, anger, or despair. Feel them.
- Talk to yourself with compassion. “Sweetheart (or use your own name), I am so sorry you are suffering. I feel your anger, your grief, your despair. I am here for you.”
- Remind yourself that you are a spirit of Light in a human experience.
- Feel the presence of a holy being, like Jesus, Mary, Kuan Yin, or the Dalai Lama. What would they say? Feel their love pouring into you. Ask for their help.
- Send Light to all people who feel likewise, feeling your commonality with them.
- When overwhelmed by darkness, you need other people. Ask someone, or several, to be your affirmation partner(s); meet by phone, internet, or in person to bring each other into thankfulness.
- Ask to receive Guidance on what is yours to do in the situation. Your mission is to listen until you feel the clarity. Then, let your intuition guide you.
- Renew your practice of thankfulness—when you wake up, throughout the day, and when you go to sleep. That is the highest vibration you can choose to do anytime, anywhere.
